The hope for the revival of their relationship comes alive again. And indeed they move to the picturesque village: the house is old and cosy, the few neighbours are friendly. Suddenly snow falls in a landscape where snow hardly ever falls. And slowly but relentlessly Miramas-le-Vieux is cut off from the outside world. As Andreas walks alone through the village one morn-ing, he discovers a collapsed shed - and in the rubble lies a decaying coffin with a skeleton. In panic, Andreas runs through the village looking for help. No one responds to his call until he finally finds Milène Tanguy, who makes Santons, the Provençal nativity figurines. Together they hurry back to the shed - but there the coffin and skeleton have disappeared without a trace ...
