But his twin brother, Christian, also lives in the area and is something of a celebrity; he is palaeontologist who has uncovered some of the worlds most spectacular relics of prehistoric animals over the course of his twenty-year career. This piques Blancs suspicions: could it have been a terrible case of mistaken identity? Did the murderer actually want to kill the famous scientist and get him mixed-up with his twin brother who just happened to be there? Little by little, Blanc uncovers the dams secrets and plunges into the world of palaeontologists, who are caught in a ruthless battle for to uncover the best finds and source the money required to fund their digs. And soon enough, the gendarmes in both investigations are stumbling upon more suspects than they would like.
