Searching for Traces in Israel

Tel Aviv 2008: When German radio journalist Mia learns that there is a vacancy for a foreign correspondent in Israel, she jumps at the chance. She had always wanted to go to Israel. And Mia needs a break from her life in Germany.
In Tel Aviv, she meets David, a cameraman. The two of them fall in love straight away and, despite all her inner warnings, Mia enters into a relationship with the married man. A relationship in limbo, in constant questioning. At the same time, Mia embarks on a personal search for clues: After the recent death of her grandmother, with whom she grew up, she confronts the deep pain she felt as a seven-year-old when she lost her mother. All her questions from back then resurface. The great void left by her mother has never been filled.
In the ever-threatened land of Israel of all places, in love with a man who knows persecution, threat and homelessness, she asks herself the question: Where is my place? Where is my home?
